Biography Matsuzaki, Uichi (1895 - 1962)

Matsuzaki Uichi was born in Fukuoka prefecture. After he graduated from Tokyo Art University in 1921, he taught art in Nagasaki Girls High School. He contributed to Hanga Nagasaki and studied under Sakamoto Hanjir˘ (1882-1969), former associate of Yamamoto Kanae and Ishii Tsuruz˘. In 1950 he published Shin Nagasaki hakkei - Eight views of new Nagasaki.
