Biography Hirakawa, Toshio (1924 - )

Hirakawa Toshio was born in Aichi Prefecture. He is both well-known as a painter and as a woodblock print artist. In 1974 the Sōgakai (a painting society) was founded, and he joined it in the same year. In 1979 he made a trip to China, and in 1989 he exhibited at the Europalia Exhibition in Moscow. He specializes in landscapes.
