Biography Kusaka, Satomi (1935 - )

Born in Tsuyama, Okayama Prefecture, Kusaka Satomi studied with a number of important Ssaku Hanga artists, a.o. Munakata Shiko, Shimozawa Kihachir and Nagare Kji. From 1955 he has had solo shows and has participated in many group exhibitions. His subjects are landscapes, nymphs and goddesses, mainly (but not exclusively!) taken from Japanese myths.
