Biography Takekoshi, Kenzo (1888 - 1981)

Takekoshi Kenzo (竹腰健造) is mainly known as an architect. He was born on June 25th 1888. In 1912 he graduated at the Tokyo Institute of technology (part of the Imperial University), after which he went on to study in London in 1913. On his return he worked as an etcher, but the didn't continue on this path but worked as an architect the rest of his life. Still, his body of work was substantial enough to be included in the 1982 exhibition Poetry of Light and Shadow at the Nishinomiya Otani Memorial Art Museum, where also work by Oda Kazuma was exhibited.
