Biography Ôkôchi, Yakô 大河内 夜江 (1893 - 1957)

Ôkôchi Yakô is a relatively well-known painter in Japan, though less known outside his country. He was influenced by the work of Tomioka Tessai. He became famous in the 1920s, and his work can be found in the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo.
