In this book, printed on handmade washi paper, Asahi Masahide combines poetry and woodblock prints to represent the four seasons. The 20 tipped-in colour woodblock prints (see details 1 and 2) symbolise the seasons through typically Japanese scenes such as Tanabata festival, hanabi (fireworks), chrysanthemums,….
A small ex-libris and a vignette above the colophon are also tipped-in. Rare.

Covers in mingei (folk-style) with some wear and light discolouration.
In very good condition overall. A little occasional foxing to text and some wear to covers. Tipped-in woodblock prints in very good condition.
