Hiratsuka, Un'ichi (1895 - 1997)

The complete series Rafu Hyakutai (裸婦百態) - 100 Nudes: In its original chitsu: Size of the box: 27 x 28 x 11.3 cm. The box contains: 100 woodblock prints, all numbered 15/100, each ca. 16 x 20 cm. Self-printed between 1968 and 1975.. Print details in pencil below the image plus red artist’s seal. With each print comes a poem, (on a separate sheet of paper), but this is not woodblock-printed. Also included are a table of contents and various introductions. Each folder of each print is numbered in pencil (1-100). Very seldom seen complete, as most dealers break up the set.
Hiratsuka’s masterwork from the last period of his life. On the internet all images can be found, in various places of course.

Fine impressions and condition. The box and prints look as if produced this year, though the box is dated 1981, 43 years ago!
