Ono, Tadashige (1909 - 1990)

Umi tori (うみとり) - Sea birds
Paper size: 61 x 40 cm. Number 5 from an edition of 10, self-printed in 1968. We see a swimmer gathering seaweed. One of his rare “double-sized” prints. Exhibited at the International print biennale in 1973. Print details on a piece of washi, as usual (see detail 1). Originally from the collection of the Ono Tadashige Museum, Tokyo, which was closed around 2007.
