Paper size: 14.1 x 18.4 cm. Wood engraving, self-engraved and self-printed in 1966. Artist’s proof (E.P.). Signed, dated and annotated in pencil. Interestingly, Kitaoka selected a war novel to illustrate, when he himself had suffered so much from the WWII.
