Ono, Tadashige (1909 - 1990)

Umi tori (うみとり)- Seabirds
Paper size: 63.5 x 45.3 cm. Number 7 from an edition of 10, self-printed in 1968. The inscription on the left verso (see detail 1) tells us that this very copy went on show at the 6th Tokyo International Biennial Exhibition of Prints (国際版画ビエンナーレ). All large Ono prints are rare, but this one is even more so. .At the bottom of the image we see two awabi divers.

Fine impression and colours, very good condition: minor fading of the pink pigment, very light tape residue on the washi backing paper.
