Ono, Tadashige (1909 - 1990)
The donkey and its shadow: Aesop's fable
Paper size: 18 x 11.3 cm. Self-printed in 1937. Signed "TAD" in brown ink bottom right. Attached to a contemporary folder with Ono's explanation of the print in (printed) handwriting (see detail 1). For 21st century collectors it is easy to find the meaning of the fable on the internet.
A very rare print - not in the catalogue raisonné of his work.

Fine impression, colours and condition - the folder is damaged, but the print is in fine shape.
