Hiratsuka, Un'ichi (1895 - 1997)

Wadakura mon - Wadakura gate, from the series Tokyo shinsai ato fūkei - Scenes of Tokyo after the earthquake, first published in 1923 by Yamaguchi Hisayoshi of Hanga no Ie in Kobe in an edition of 50.
Paper size: 30.3 x 22.7 cm. This print was self-printed by Hiratsuka in 1925 (see hand-written sticker verso ("detail"), a type of sticker often used in the 1920s. Moreover this copy is titled, signed and dated by him in pencil at the bottom, inside the image.
