Ono, Tadashige (1909 - 1990)

Paper size 45.5 x 30.2 cm. Published in 1961.
This print is marked "trial print" and the edition is given as 1/1, so this is the only one in existence. According to the catalogue raisonné (Ono Tadashige Zen Mokuhanga - Ono Tadashige Catalogue Raisonné, Tokyo, 2005) there is another version printed in an edition of 20, also published in 1961.

Fine impression and colours, very good condition: the piece of washi, giving all print details and normally attached to the print, has been separated from it, and has been trimmed (see 'detail'); it was probably once stuck to the back of the frame - a practice I have seen before.
