Biography Nakanishi, Yoshio (1899 - 1968)

Nakanishi Yoshio was a pupil of Yamamoto Kanae, the godfather of the Sōsaku Hanga movement. He taught woodblock printing in Yamamoto Kanae's farmers' art movement. He exhibited in exhibitions organized by the Nihon Sōsaku Hanga Kyokai in 1928-9. He was a founding member of the Nihon Hanga Kyōkai, and he contributed to the third volume of Kitsutsuki, published in 1931. An artist whose work is pretty rare.
