Biography Asaga, Manjirô (1885 - 1965)

Manjirô Asaga was a Kyoto man born and bred. He was the second elder brother of Maekawa Senpan. He is mainly known for his prints of traditional Japanese subjects: in 1944 he started a series of ca. 200 Noh prints, and a set of Ôtsu-e prints.
