Biography Oda, Kazuma (1881 - 1956)

Tokyo-born Kazuma Oda first studied lithography, and between 1909-1911 he was an active member of the Hōsun group. In 1916-1917 he produced a set of 20 lithographs on Tokyo scenery, and between 1917 and 1919 a similar set on Osaka scenery.
He was a founding member of the Nihon Sōsaku-Hanga Kyōkai in 1918, and a founding member of the Nihon Hanga Kyōkai in 1931. Though he mainly worked as a lithographer he also made self-carved and self-printed woodblock prints in the 20s, and he designed woodblock prints published by Watanabe Shōzaburō.
