Biography Yamaguchi, Hôshun (1893 - 1971)
Yamaguchi Hôshun is primarily known as a painter. He graduated at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in both Japanese-style and Western-style painting. He exhibited paintings at the Teiten, Inten and Nitten. In the 20s and 30s a limited number of woodblock prints were published. In 1965 he received the order of Cultural Merit.
