Biography Sujaku, Umezaki 末雀 (1896 - 1969)

Umezaki Sujaku (末雀)was a pupil of Hashimoto Kansetsu (1883-1945), who was one of the most well-known painters of the 20th century, who painted in the tradition of both Nanga and Shijo schools. Sujaku's work is characterized by a refined technique and a reliance on subtle effects.
