Biography Daiko, Sogen 大綱 宗彦 (1772 - 1860)

Born in Yasunaga, Daiko Sogen became a novice at age 7. He had a long life, and he became the 435th abbott of Daitokuji (Rinzai sect). He had a considerable influence on a number of important teamasters of his time, such as as Gengensai (1810-1877), Rokurokusai (1837-1910), and Gendo (1830-1891). He died in Yasumasa, 89 years old.
