Biography Maekawa, Bunrei 前川 文嶺 (1837 - 1917)
Born in Kyoto, Maekawa Bunrei studied Shijo-school painting under his father Maekawa Gorei (1806-1976), who in his turn was a pupil of Matsumura Keibun (1779-1843).
