Kōgyo, Tsukioka (1869 - 1927)
Nue Paper size: 25.7 x 37.8 cm. Published by Matsuki Heikichi (Daikokuya) in June 1925. The series Ngaku hyakuban consists of 120 sheets, published in sets of three per envelope between the period 1922-1926. Without any doubt it forms one of the highlights of woodblock printing. All possible techniques were used successfully and effectively, and though the edition must have been considerable no bad impressions are known.

Fine impression and colours, good condition: some foxing verso, not visible from the front; light fold at the left bottom corner, but certainly one of the best designs of the series. Full-page illustration in Helen Merritt's Modern Japanese Woodblock Prints - The Early Years, p. 33.
