Ishii, Tsuruzō (1887 - 1973)

Nakiko - Crying child
Paper size: 22.5 x 31.5 cm.
Originally cut and self-printed by Ishii Tsuruz ("Tur") in 1919, this design was recarved by Sekino Jun'ichir for the frontispiece of the second portfolio of the First Thursday Collection (1946). The block appears to have been re-used for the impression offered here.
