Fine impression and colours, very good condition

One of the best-known post WWII sôsaku hanga prints. This image was used by Helen Merritt for the dust-jacket of her book Modern Japanese woodblock prints. This print exists in various editions. The one shown here comes closest to the one shown in Kawakami Sumio, Shi to e no sekai - Kawakami Sumio, World of poetry and prints, Kanuma Municipal Art Museum of Kawakami Sumio, 1995, page 57.
