ÅŒta, Masamitsu (1892 - 1975)

Kabuki juhachiban, album illustrating the 18 great plays by the Ichikawa Danjurô line of actors. This album was published in 1931, and was Ôta Masamitsu's first recorded work. It contains 18 woodblock prints (18 x 20 cm), each backed and inserted into the pages by their 4 corners. On the opposite pages the 18 plays are summarized in Japanese.

Fine impression, colours and condition: The album is bound Japanese fashion and is in a chitsu. The woodblock prints are printed with great care and are in excellent condition. Further photographs are gladly provided.
